Chris is the Director of Sales – Auto Finance, for the CARFAX Banking and Insurance Group. In this position, he manages a team responsible for the relationships that CARFAX has with Banks, Credit Unions, Captive Finance Companies, and Independent Finance Companies in the United States, with the intention of maximizing the efficient use of CARFAX data. Prior to his time at CARFAX, Chris managed offices with captive lenders and also worked on process improvement receiving his 6-Sigma Black Belt from Ford Motor Company. He later also held various managerial and sales positions with Dealer Financial Services groups of large banks, primarily in the southeastern United States. Chris graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Accounting. His almost 30 years of experience underwriting and managing the acquisition, funding, collection, and remarketing of vehicle retail installment contracts have assisted Chris and CARFAX in maximizing the use of CARFAX data in the Auto Finance space. His team continues work to help financial institutions to: detect damage and properly value vehicles at underwriting/prior to funding; provide tools to assist in collection of delinquent accounts; provide valuation and prioritization in remarketing; as well as providing lien information, VIN information for lease units, and portfolio valuation as well as other services.
