The industry as a whole has an issue with a lack of transparency regarding content on vehicles. The baseline for understanding a vehicle is limited to the VIN, which doesn’t include optional equipment and in many cases does not identify the trim level. The lack of transparency results in sub-optimal processes across the entire automotive ecosystem. VIN level build information can provide clarity to the vehicle valuation process. This presentation will highlight how build data, coupled with analytics, can provide insight and clarity by presenting specific use cases to get an idea of the game changing impact this data will have on all facets of the industry.
