I want you to picture a sprawling field with bright green, freshly cut grass, that’s beautifully manicured. You’re standing at one end of the field and your goal of running a compliant sales finance company, looking to repossess a vehicle, is at the opposite end. What you may not know is that between you and your goal, buried just beneath the surface, are a multitude of mines that have been placed there by Congress, federal and state regulators — the mines of federal and state laws and regulations.
